For Virat, the tour of the West Indies has always been memorable, so far, these four achievements have been achieved

The Indian team’s one-month Caribbean tour ended on Monday. After the World Cup, starting on August 3, the Indian team made a clean sweep in all three series of T20, One-Day, and Test, and did not lose a single match in the entire tour. The West Indies tour was once again memorable for Virat and he became the most successful captain of the Indian Test team with a 257-run win over the West Indies by the team in Jamaica at the end of the tour on Monday.

This is not the first time Virat has achieved any feat in the West Indies. Rather, the West Indies tour has always been special for Virat and he has returned from here only with a special memory. Let’s take a look at Virat’s special achievements that he has achieved in the West Indies tour.

In 2011, Virat made his Test debut on Caribbean soil. Virat made his Test debut at the Sabina Park in Jamaica in the very first Test series under Dhoni’s captaincy. However, this test was nothing special for Virat and he was able to score 19 runs in two innings. India won by 63 runs in this match.

After this, Virat scored his double century in the Test for the first time in the 2016 tour. Virat achieved a special achievement in the first Test of the series played in Antiga. Virat had completed his first double century in 283 balls.

In the year 2016, Virat also made a big achievement. With a double century in the Antiga Test, he became the first Indian captain to score a double century in Tests overseas, breaking Mohammad Azharuddin’s 26-year-old record.

And now i.e. at the end of the tour in 2019, he is returning as India’s most successful Test captain. Virat has surpassed Mahendra Singh Dhoni with 28 wins in 48 Tests. He has now become the Indian captain with the most wins in Tests.
