South African captain blamed IPL after being out South Africa in World Cup 2019

After losing to Pakistan, the South African team is out of the ICC Cricket World Cup. For this, South African captain Faf du Plessis blamed the IPL. Du Plessy said that he and the team management had tried a lot to prevent Kagiso Rabada from playing in the IPL this season. He said that Rabada was highly recommended for the freshness of the World Cup.

South Africa’s performance in the tournament was poor and it was decided to go out of the tournament after losing to Pakistan by 49 runs.

Soon after the defeat of the team, when asked about the possible deficit on the ground due to Rabada’s fatigue from Du Plessis, he revealed that this fast bowler has thrown 303 over so far this year, including the IPL. In IPL, Rabada took 25 wickets in 12 matches from Delhi capitals.

After an injury to the tournament, Cricket South Africa took a precautionary step and called them back. Plessis said that he had raised this issue even before the start of IPL because the players playing in all three formats were playing continuously without any rest.

South African captain said that at this time we are an average team. Because we are continuously making a single mistake. Plessis told the worst of his career to be out of the World Cup.

He said that as a player and captain I am proud of myself and play for the country is important for me. We do not meet the expectations, so people are criticizing the team.
