18-year-old Jemima Rodriguez breaks many records, stormy century in T-20 league

18-year-old Jemima blasted several T20 cricket records by playing stormy innings in the KIA Super League being played in England. The Indian girl from Team India played for Yorkshire Diamonds on Sunday, scoring a century in just 51 balls against the Southern Wipers. This is the fastest century of the league so far. Jemima scored an unbeaten 112 from 58 balls which helped the Yorkshire Diamonds beat the Southern Wipers by 4 wickets. Jemima hit 17 fours and 1 six during this innings. Not only this, Jemima’s innings is the best score by an Indian woman cricketer in a foreign league.

Earlier this record was in the name of South African women cricketer Liezel Lee who scored a century off 55 balls. Jemima Hamwat became the second Indian woman player to score a century in a foreign T20 league after Smriti Mandhana. Smriti played stormy innings of 102 off 61 balls in the same league last year.

Let’s say that in the Super League 2019, Jemima Rodriguez has scored 341 runs in 9 matches at an average of 56.83 and strike rate of 141.49. This includes 1 century and 1 half-century.
